While the default option in Windows 11/10 is to produce a beeping sound when Caps Lock, Number Lock and Scroll Lock keys are pressed, it also provides the option to stop the Keyboard from making beeping sounds.
In case you are not aware, the beeping keys feature in Windows is designed to prevent accidental pressing of these special keys, which can have an impact on certain keyboard tasks.
For example, you may end up entering incorrect Login Password due to the Caps Lock on the keyboard of your computer being activated due to accidental pressing of the keyboard.
Stop Keyboard from Beeping in Windows 11/10
If required, you can easily stop the Keyboard on your computer from beeping by going to the Keyboard Settings on your computer.
1. Prevent Keyboard from Beeping in Windows 11
Follow the steps below to prevent the Keyboard on your Windows 11 computer from making beeping sounds.
1. Go to Settings > Accessibility (left-pane) > In the right-pane, scroll down and click on Keyboard.
2. On the next screen, move the toggle next to Toggle Keys to OFF position.
After this, you will no longer find the Keyboard beeping, when you press certain keys on the keyboard of your computer.
2. Stop Keyboard from Beeping in Windows 10
If you are using a Windows 10 computer, you can follow the steps below to stop the keyboard on your computer from beeping.
1. Open Settings > click on Ease of Access Icon.
2. On the next screen, select Keyboard in the left-pane. In the right-pane, move the toggle next to Toggle Keys to OFF position.
After this, you should no longer find the Keyboard on your computer making beeping sounds when you accidentally or intentionally press Caps Lock, Number Lock and Scroll Lock Keys.
