When “Raise to Wake” feature is enabled on iPhone, it allows your device to automatically switch ON its display or the screen, as soon as it is being picked up.
This feature is designed to provide you with immediate access to Notifications, Control Center, Widgets and also the Camera, without the need to press the Power or Home button.
While this feature can be useful, you may find the need to Stop iPhone from Switching ON when it is picked up, in order to prevent the possibility of Lock Screen Notifications being viewed by others around you.
Stop iPhone from Waking When it is Picked Up
As mentioned above, the reason for iPhone automatically switching on its display while it is being picked up is due to the “Raise to Wake” feature being enabled on your device.
Hence, all that is required to prevent iPhone from waking up or switching ON its display, while it is being picked up is to disable the “Raise to Wake” feature on your iPhone.
Steps to Prevent iPhone from Switching ON When Picked Up
You can follow the steps below to prevent iPhone from switching ON the display, when it is being picked up.
