Boot Windows 11/10 Computer in Safe Mode
In order to Boot Windows into Safe Mode from the login screen, the first step is to create a Bootable USB Drive for your computer.
Even if you did not create a Bootable USB drive and your computer has become inaccessible, you can create a create a Bootable USB drive by going to any other Windows computer.

1. Boot Windows 11/10 in Safe Mode Using Bootable USB Drive
If your Windows 10/11 computer is not starting up or going through problems, you can Boot your computer in Safe Mode Mode by following the steps below.
1. Insert the Bootable Windows Drive into the USB Port of your computer.
2. Press the Power button to start the computer.
3. After the computer starts, select a Keyboard Layout for your computer.
4. On the next screen, click on the Troubleshoot option.
5. From the next screen, navigate to Advanced options > Startup Settings and click on the Restart button.
6. After the computer restarts, press the F4 key to force the computer to start in Safe Mode.
When the restarts again, it will be in Safe Mode, which makes it easy identify and fix problems.
2. Enter Safe Mode from the Login Screen
If you are unable to Login to computer, you can start Windows in Safe Mode by restarting the computer from the Login Screen.
1. Click on the Power Icon located at bottom-right corner on the login sceen. Next, press and hold the Shift Key (keyboard) and click on the Restart option.
2. As the computer starts in recovery mode, click on the Troubleshoot option.
3. From the next screen, navigate to Advanced options > Startup Settings and click on the Restart button.
4. After the computer restarts, press the F4 key to Boot Windows 10 in Safe Mode.
3. Boot Windows in Safe Mode from Black Screen
If you are dealing with a totally Blank or Black Screen, you can follow the steps below to start the computer in Safe Mode.
1. Press the Power button (for 10 seconds) to turn OFF the computer.
2. Wait for 30 seconds and press the Power button to restart the computer.
3. If the computer starts in Recovery mode, select the Troubleshoot option.
Note: If the computer does not start in Recovery mode, repeat steps 1 & 2, until it enters winRE Mode and you see “Choose an option” screen.
4. From the next screen, navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings and click on the Restart button.
5. After the computer restarts, press F4 to Boot Windows in Safe Mode.
